Knowing Christ and Making Him Known
Hi, welcome to our website. Take a look around at what is just a taste of what we are doing as a church.
We are a friendly and welcoming church with people of all ages and backgrounds. Our passion is to show God's love to our community in real and practical ways, so do come and see us. And if you can't, call us, we will be happy to visit you and to help you in any way we can. It doesn't matter if you don't yet know God, we would love to hear from you.
Why not drop us a line, or better still, pop in and see us at 10:30am Sunday mornings.
You can read more about us here.

Pastor Ray Bindra and his wife Janet have been the senior ministers at Emmanuel since 1999.

Good News!
The greatest discovery of our lives is getting to know and understand our Creator's love for us. All of us, at some point in our lives, have done things wrong. We have fallen short of God's perfect standard for us. This is called sin - choosing our own way, instead of God's way.
As people, our natural sense of justice demands that crime should be punished. In the same way, God's justice also demands that sin should not go unpunished. The Bible teaches that the penalty, or consequence, of sin is death and eternal separation from God.
Now, God cannot forgive us until the penalty of our sin is paid in full - and yet all our good works are not good enough. We cannot hope to please a perfect God because we are imperfect - all of us, even the best of us, have sinned and deserve to be punished.
But the good news is that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus, not to judge us, but to die in our place and to take the punishment for our sin. Jesus Christ is the only sinless, perfect one and he willingly paid our debt. All it takes for us is to put our trust in Him, turn away from our wrong doings and let Him be the Lord of our lives.
Are you content to carry on living for yourself or do you want a new life of purpose and hope? You can receive forgiveness and start getting to know God today just be saying and believing this simple prayer:
"Father, I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and I now want to turn away from my past life toward you. Please forgive me. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was raised from the dead and is alive. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You and to do Your will for the rest of my life. Amen."
If you have said this prayer and you want to talk to someone or want to learn more about the Christian faith, or if you want prayer or counselling, please contact Pastor Ray Bindra or Brian Greenaway at the church office on 01322 272649.
